Scarlett was dumped in a neighborhood after weaning a litter of puppies at only 11 months old. Once she was brought to the vet we found out she has had a hard life. She has a bee-bee from a gun lodged in her chest, a rib that was broken and healed poking out, a foot that had suffered a break and healed with a calcium deposit and HEART WORMS! Well you would think this sweet dog would not have much use for humans, but to the contrary, now she realizes that humans can be kind. Scarlett appreciates the finer things in life, like dog food, chew bones, indoors, human affection and mostly DOWN COMFORTERS! She is totally kennel trained and house trained but LOVES to sleep with her human fosters. She has a very sleek coat that was shedding tremendously but with quality food and a skin and coat additive to her food she is growing a more stable coat. She is now waiting her turn for heart worm treatment and then will be ready to find a new forever home. She loves to run in a fenced area but now loves companionship more. When you are home and she is kenneled she does whine and chew her kennel. But when left to follow you she does unless she can get to the praised DOWN COMFORTER to spawl out on!!
