Here’s the story of a dog named Sounder, who was rescued in Texas during hurricane Harvey. As a young puppy he was brought to a pound in Louisiana that had made room for evacuated animals. After staying awhile in the pound he ended up in boarding at a vet clinic. For almost his whole young life, Sounder has experienced the world from behind the bars of a cage. He is such an innocent, sweet, kind soul, but he is a bit skittish from lack of socialization during his formative months. ARF volunteers are working with him to build up his confidence, but only so much can be done in a shelter environment. Sounder would greatly benefit from being in a loving home where he can learn that the world isn’t such a scary place. Please consider adopting Sounder. He’s good with dogs, kids, cats, and he loves playing and romping about. All ARFLA dogs posted online are available for adoption, up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered or spayed, on heart worm prevention, and microchipped. The adoption fee is $200.
