Meet Roxy, a super sweet girl. Roxy is very social and loves people and children. She was surrendered by her owners because of their serious health issues and is ready for a new for-ever home. Roxy is house trained and knows how to use a pet door. She gets along with other dogs and we are unsure about cats at this time. She is well mannered and does know "sit", and has no food aggression and is happy to wait her turn for a treat. Roxy sleeps in a dog bed at night and is left loose in the house when alone, she does not like a crate or kennel. She likes to ride in a car and is good with a seat belt. Roxy is not a barker or a digger. She likes toys and does not destroy her toys. She loves to go for walks but needs some training because she does pull, we are working on that. She is learning not to jump on humans for attention and that is going well. Roxy is an inside dog and is very calm and well behaved. She is happy to lie at your feet and nap while you watch TV. Because of her weight of 30 pounds and tendency to jump, we do not recommend she go to a home with small children. This girl will make a wonderful family pet or a super good companion for a person living alone. You may fill an application for Roxy at arfla.org/info/adoption. She will be at Petco for meet and greet most Saturday mornings from 11am-2pm. Please check with ARFLA to make sure she is still available.
