12/7/05 Emma has been spayed and unfortunately was heartworm positive. This lovely dog will make a wonderful pet. She has been treated. To sponsor her please go to our Pay Pal button and include a note to show it is toward Emma's treatment. We currently have 7-8 HW positive dogs to get treated at about $200 each. If you can't have another dog sponsor one to save their life. Emma was rescued from the pound after being dropped off in the outdoor kennels on the weekend. One of the shelter employees realized she was a gem and gave her gentle attention. She was very shy but he won her over. ARF rescued her and she loves to play ball. When left alone, she will toss the ball in the air for herself! She loves kids and does not mind other dogs, but loves any attention. She has shorter than normal legs and a beautiful coat, but her eyes are spectacular. She will play ball until she is worn out. Very eager to please and listens to sit and drop it.
