3/1/07 Sammi is still living and enjoying life pain free, so we are still loving and allowing her to experience all that she loves. Hopefully she will know that when her life is ending that she was loved by all around her. 10/21/06 Poor Sammi we have just found out she has cancer. She had a tumor removed from her hind end and it was malignant. We are trying to keep her as comfortable and happy as possible while the vet decides what is the best course of action. Imagine being a devoted companion and when you are sick...your "family" dumps you at a high kill shelter. Sammi's treatment will be very expensive any donations are greatly appreciated. She will not be up for adoption until she is treated or stable. Sammi was on owner surrendered dog to the pound...where we rescued her with hours to spare before death row. She is a happy girl who gets along well with other dogs and loves people. Too often people adopt puppies and do not spend time to train them and they get too excited to see them when they do get attention. So the key to a dog is TRAIN do not COMPLAIN.
