Dakota was abandoned at the local pound with her canine sister. Her sister was adopted and she was left behind. She was rescued at the last minute by a rescuer who decided afterwords she did not want her. ARF stepped in and saved her, and will see to it that Dakota does not suffer rejection for a 3rd time.
Dakota loves people, is an absolutely gorgeous dog, but might do better as an only dog or with a single male canine companion. She becomes devoted to her people and is protective of them...but a guard dog she is not. She is about 55 pounds and ready to be your snuggle dog. Dakota is looking for a new leash on life with a new loving family. She has been here a long time and has been passed over numerous times. As she is in one of the first runs, she tries hard to catch the eye of a special someone. So far, she has had no luck. Larger dogs make great lap dogs too!
