Meet Slim Jim!  Slim Jim is a stunning, 2-3 year old, male, black Lab.  Slim Jim is on the skinny side as he has had a hard start to life but he is now safe, eating well and will gradually putting on more weight.  Slim Jim is was picked up as a stray by a high kill shelter, extremely emaciated and covered in cuts and wounds.  Someone knew he needed help ASAP and called ARF-LA.  ARF-LA rescued him from the shelter and brought him directly to the vet.  Several months later, Slim Jim knew he was safe and he was one happy boy.  He is now ready for his forever home where he will be loved and cared for the way he should.  Despite Slim Jim’s rough start, he is a very sweet and energetic boy who loves people and other dogs. He knows basic commands and is smart, eager to please and loves affection.  He is crate trained. Slim Jim is a wonderful boy who will make an excellent companion- he will give so much to a lucky family.
