Meet Russell…a handsome and very loving male Cattle/Blue Heeler mix dog.  Russell wandered into the Slemco employee truck parking lot and quickly won the heart of all the employees.  Russell’s previous owners were never found, therefore the employees allowed him to be a shop/yard dog.  He loved watching over the trucks and getting lots of attention from the employees as they began and ended their work day.  Then Russell began feeling very comfortable and excited to see them when they came back from their day on the road; which caused Russell to start chasing the trucks as they came in each day.  The employees began to fear Russell would get hit by a vehicle and decided it was safer to re-home him.  Russell is very intelligent, even tempered and loves all people.  He enjoys toys and playing fetch, going for walks and would also be a good running mate.  Russell gets along great with other dogs, and has only had the opportunity to meet 1 cat that he wanted to chase.  He rides well in a vehicle and is crate trained.  Russell would love to have a home and property that he could watch over and an active family to keep his mind occupied.
